@boo Using MOP for side dots is a bit nerve wracking, eh? Don’t drill to deep homie! I really want to try Iluminlay side dots but they’re definitely pricy coming from Japan and I hear mixed reviews as to how… Read more»

@boo
Yeah thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely look into it as I’ve loved clear covers ever since I saw them on the Les Paul BFG and I do like a shielded cavity, now I can have both. 🤙 -

With those caps and extremely good soldering, it would be worth having a clear cavity cover to show them off.
@boo
Agreed! The only “drawback” to a clear cover is that you can’t have shielding. -

@boo I love using my Freqout pedal by Digitech, it’s so much fun, have you tried it? Nope, never even heard of it. But looks cool. I’m guessing it’s nothing like a sustainer though, right? I mean, how could it… Read more»

@Boo Top wiring tip (one of many top wiring tips). Make yourself a little “jig” or pattern on a piece of scrap MDF. Drill 8mm holes in the MDF to replicate where the vol/tone pots, p’up selector switch and output… Read more»

Would need use of that hotstick (aka “soldering iron”) though @Boo … It’d be quite simple to put a circuit together, run it on an “outboard” basis to try it out and decide whether it’d be useable, and then rewire… Read more»
