@robin I agree with @tv101 removing the name label will leave a worse mess and the wood underneath will be a lighter colour as sound boards darken with exposure to UV light when the instrument is out ...

If I would buy one, I would at least look into the possibility to keep it in a purposely build construction at the outside of my workshop with all this information. I dont trust my own sense of respon...
