RE: Short scale advice

I've not seen that bridge before. Curious as to how the saddles are made to fit the adjustable width range. I'll measure some guitars tomorrow (if work permits - I've got a shit day ahead). I should...

RE: Short scale advice

I *believe* that string spacing at the bridge is usually expected to be ; traditional Gibson = 50mm traditional Fender = 52mm The difference arises from the different bridges used. Obviously, it's ...

RE: My first bolt on

That looks good Clinton. You can get very narrow masking tape that model makers use, that might be good to mask off the fret wires while you lacquer the fretboard.

My first bolt on

Made my first bolt on following the bolt on course. Just had to do it after watching the recent you tube live streams, I decided on 21 frets. Haha. Access to truss rod however, I opted by the headstoc...

RE: Waterslide Transfers

@tv101 the headstock is as big as it needs to be, and no bigger. I might have to add a little bump on the end to have room for my logo, I hadn't really thought that one through.

RE: Waterslide Transfers

This is headstock style I'm using in my next build, the strings don't get much straighter than that. That is definitely pretty straight!! Very functional too - the headstock is as big as it needs ...

@boo Are you going to seal them in with some clear coat? Yes I'll be spraying the face of the headstock and the truss rod cover with a clear coat. Hopefully that should make the surround of the tra...

@russ Did you make the transfers yourself I bought the waterslide paper and used Windows Paint to draw the logos, then printed on an inkjet printer. You have to spray them with a clear coat before y...

RE: Sat 1pm LIVE - Penny Carving

With the extractor added in as well, the full setup is actually about £800 give or take, bit better than I thought. It’s still £800 I haven’t got. @boo I’d just about managed to persuade myself that...

built loads of partscasters Hi Peter, welcome to the group. When I first found Mark's livestreams I thought that I would build a partscaster and that would get it out of my system. Once I'd gathered...
