@Robin thanks, the templates make it easy. Took me a while to make them. Circle patterns are very tough to get spot on and had to redi several times.

A lot of heel. Go as less as possible.

@tv1 I have boards of century old Koa that I use for my necks. Each time, I have to square and quarter saw them. Luckily next door the furniture shop let me use their bench joiner for a small fee….   Read more»

It was a choice of Alder or Mahogany. Majority vote was Mahogany and I remember it rang a really nice tap tone compared to the Alder that did not ring so much.
