I’ll sort later.
The greatest advantage is not having to square workpiece because only the centre line matters – as long as clamps get a purchase along the edge.
NEC tape helps as well. -

Be very careful when introducing cutter into wood and don’t cut more than 2mm per run. My Router runs on a guide/sled which makes it more secure than running along the edge. Adjustable arms hold/clamp the workpiece in relation to… Read more»

My Triton Router works fine. 2mm cutter with 1/4″ 6mm shank. Due to machine vibration, you will always get a little clearance above the 2mm (you could use any thickness) required – just right for accommodating epoxy. Careful of dust… Read more»

Forget Rod – I found it had an element of flex before any significant resistance was engaged. I use 2mm strips. Two per Neck approx 6 – 8mm deep. If you try and bend strip along it’s edge you encounter… Read more»

Some say it allows the guitar wood to interact/vibrate more with the lower strings – how they know, I can’t guess?!?
