I’m thinking of putting a couple of Matt black racing stripes down the middle to give it some contrast.
And to make it play faster of course, because we all know racing stripes make things faster.

@darrenking I was thinking just chop those outriggers at 45 degrees at the front (not a big deal for the CNC I would have thought) which would then look “right” when you put it on the corner of the bench.It’s… Read more»

That looks awesome.The 45 degree idea when bench location allows for it is very smart, might I suggest shaping the outriggers to suit that, or would it mean you needed extra long clamps to hold it in the 90 degree… Read more»

I find it amusing that somebody who apparently has no issues with the black art of finishing with different substrates, effects and finishes is so terrified of some soldering!

My perception is that classical guitars seem to have had rather more variation in bracing ideas (as in clearly different approaches to the layout rather than tweaks of the same basic arrangement) than steel stringhttps://www.thisisclassicalguitar.com/bracing-styles-for-classical-guitars/

@rocknroller912 I have to confess I pondered about whether or not to use the term thesis, since my first thought when i hear the term is also an academic thesis, so I checked whether it would be appropriate

@rocknroller912
Can you remember if the video where Mark showed the pyramid bridge was the one where he builds a bridge for an acoustic guitar? I have some chores to finish but I’d like to watch it later. -

The only weak point in the article is the lack of scientific data to allow it to be called a thesis,
That doesn’t figure in the dictionary definition of “thesis”.Thanks for the other information.

@mattbeels I enjoy the highline videos, but his drum sander is an example of a beltless design

I think a motor is the only way to go as that hand crank is a bit underwhelming. @mattbeels Most of the other designs on YouTube don’t have a belt, so it’s already a step up, but motorizing it should… Read more»
