RE: Jazz Bass Paint Job (Chameleon)

I find it amusing that somebody who apparently has no issues with the black art of finishing with different substrates, effects and finishes is so terrified of some soldering!

RE: John Greven thesis on voicing choices in a steel string acoustic

My perception is that classical guitars seem to have had rather more variation in bracing ideas (as in clearly different approaches to the layout rather than tweaks of the same basic arrangement) than...

RE: John Greven thesis on voicing choices in a steel string acoustic

@rocknroller912 I have to confess I pondered about whether or not to use the term thesis, since my first thought when i hear the term is also an academic thesis, so I checked whether it would be appro...

RE: John Greven thesis on voicing choices in a steel string acoustic

@mattbeels I enjoy the highline videos, but his drum sander is an example of a beltless design

RE: DIY Drum Sander

I think a motor is the only way to go as that hand crank is a bit underwhelming. @mattbeels Most of the other designs on YouTube don't have a belt, so it's already a step up, but motorizing it should...

@rocknroller912 I'm lucky at the moment because the London Hackspace is quite close to me (less than 25 minutes if there is no traffic), but its future in the current location is somewhat in doubt (th...

Also, can anybody explain to me why there is an Edit button on posts that doesn't do anything? Either let me fix typos or stop teasing me!
