RE: 🎶🎸 Your Favourite Song In This Moment 🎸🎶

My favorite Dutch guitar player is Harry Sacksioni. In his teens he was not only a talented guitarist but also a very talented football player who was in the youth team of Ajax. At the age of seventee...

RE: 🎶🎸 Your Favourite Song In This Moment 🎸🎶

Another Dutch band from the seventies, and for me the best Dutch band ever, was Alquin. First time I saw them live was in 1975. They split up two years later but reunited in 2003, only with a new (and...

Today I would have been playing with both my bands "Akoestische Heeren"and "Lemon Curry" at the local Rock Urbanus festival. But a virus got in the way. This was the last gig we did shortly before the...

RE: What are we plugging into?

@clinton It's a great amp and a wonderful cab. I chose this cab with my ears. A couple of years ago I was attending a gathering of bass players where there was a blind test of cabs. One bass, one clea...

RE: What are we plugging into?

What are you using to make a noise? I've used several amps and cabs over the years. But the last two years my noise comes through an Eich T-900 amp. Attachment : image.png It's a very small am...

RE: Neck for a 5-string short scale bass

It reminds me of when I was on one of the courses I did at the Bailey workshop. There was a young man there who was making a fretless bass with a trem on it. Now, if there is one thing you don't need ...

I really can't see any any benefit of a 5-string short scale bass myself. It's different yes, but other than that?

RE: Post your music..

I love this song “Gangsters”. There are indeed a lot around these days (always have been I suppose). As long as there are rules and laws, there will be those who will break them.

Stingray nr.2

Selling my first Stingray gave me a good excuse to make another one. It has an alder body, birdseye maple neck, ziricote fretboard and a quite spectacular maple top. It has burl, spalt and many colors...

RE: Stingray nr.1

@darrenking Thank you, I always try to use nice looking wood. A flamed maple top is not something very special, but you hardly ever see them on the 'standard' models like Jazz basses or Stingrays.
