@tv101 excuse me, I’d like to buy some pots off you, could you send them out so I can test them before paying? Thanks 🤣

@robin I’ve got to ask, where did you find these weirdo pots? 🤣 I generally stick with alpha and cts for the most part as I can get both in metric which means an 8mm shaft, the metal nobs… Read more»

@swepri every pot for guitar I ever see is either china, japan or usa made anyway, can’t say I’ve ever seen a european pot. Seen reference to vintage pots using a C though lol

@robin how sure are you? It’s how they sound that I notice them. Audio taper sounds gradual, Linear sounds like a switch lol. Every A and B pot I’ve used has sounded as it should.

Yeh what Mark says, I do all the routing while the body is flat then carve after. Whether actual carve top or just doing arm and belly carves.

Just buy 10mm acrylic off ebay and make a bigger base, works great. I’ve done both my trim routers and one I can clamp upside down for doing small jobs. I have the same template set too, used it a… Read more»

@tej Ash makes a beautiful neck, done a few myself with zero issues but I always do a volute which may or may not help. Northern/european ash. It’s the denser , heavier hard one. Southern ash aka swamp ash isn’t… Read more»

NSJ replied to the topic "Neck dilemma" – 1 year, 10 months ago
Grab a gotoh nut, they’re cheap but superb, front or rear mount and you can get a 43mm. Still keep most of the width that way. Might be an easier option because you could sand most of the extra away… Read more»
