I’d glue a plate on the back, 3 or 4mm thick, make it a feature. Maybe add a bit of shape where it joins the neck, make it look on purpose.

I think that’s me done the finish sanding now, been going back and forth looking for scratches to remove. Carves for the pots etc are all smoothed off too.
And also got the holes drilled for the locking nut.

Today I got on with doing the recesses for the controls aswell as the jack socket. I like using the barrel jacks, I fit a wedge of wood in the cavity so the nut can sit flat and be tightened…   Read more»
