Used a bit of amber stain mixed with the thinned down polyurethane, just enough to make it pop
 

Operation new neck is almost done, a bit of finish sanding then onto the actual finish. Abalone fret markers, hosco glow in the dark side dots. Got the frets in last night.
 

@tv101 don’t think it’ll need much, trees been standing dead a while and I’ve burnt the higher branches already. Give it a couple of months in the house I reckon.

@russ no extras bud, they maybe charge UK vat when buying. I noticed Thomman and other EU shops do that too. They charge the correct vat and you get no extra charges. The radius beam cost me just under £60…   Read more»

I think black limba looks gorgeous on it’s own but if wanting to use the top I’d pick something a bit plainer. Maple and sapele laminates on the neck could be nice, weight wise I don’t think it’ll be much…   Read more»

@tv101 neck through lad, big gluing area lol   Cut out the template today, laid it all out. I’m going to print another copy of the body and establish the centre line next.
