Hey @nsj, I’ve watched the vid they do on Osmo. He uses an Osmo woodwax oil (I guess similar to finishing oil) before applying the Osmo polyx finish. Is that what you did too? I thought the polyx was all… Read more»

@nsj yeah, good suggestion! I’ve not done it on this neck, but I have another 1″ blank and a small selection of veneers. Could look pretty cool. Apologies in advance for the incoming interrogation! With the Osmo oil, does it… Read more»

@nsj oh I need to show you fret 24. I did it with a dremel on a plunge base with edge guide against the end of the fretboard. Made a little mess but what the hell. It’s the first… Read more»

@nsj as for a full on fretboard, uhm you mean the dots or artwork, like a dragon, roses, etc? something I had considered was starting with 2 pieces of abalone shell as fretboard marker inlay. I have some that are… Read more»

@nsj That gives it more of a wood burning look doesn’t it. Not very deep at all just darken the logo. Cool, cool, cool. That would be an easy way of differentiating between say model A-1 and model A-2, meaning… Read more»

@nsj See, I know that little about electronics and soldering, I didn’t know there was leaded and unleaded solder. Is the leaded stuff not dangerous to health? Is that not why they created unleaded? Thanks for the advice by the… Read more»

@nsj Looks great! I’ve used resin a lot, especially blue and green, it always looks good against the contrasting wood colour.

@nsj Thank you! Is the heel adjustment with Floyd just because of the clamping nut thingy beeing in the way at the headstock?

@nsj duuuuuuude!!!!
I have been trying to think of a better way than my scroll saw to do that.
What speed do you run it on when cutting the covers? Plastic I assume or are you making wooden covers? -

I’ve got to ask, where did you find these weirdo pots?
These were amongst a job lot of harnesses from ebay, somebody clearing out their junk boxes. I’ve only got myself to blame.

So, that’s a “maybe” ??
The answer – of course – is just to ignore the tone pots. Never use them … 😉
