@somethingnicer ah good news! You could stay with 2 pickups and use a push pull as a pickup selector. But as you've gone back to your original plan, all good!

@liebe hey Dan, thanks a lot. I ended up plugging the hole and just going down to one pickup… this was my original plan to begin with so not worrie. I’ll just cover the pickup hole with a pick guard

Plane across the grain to take the thickness down to close to final, leaving about 0.5 mm depending on tear out.Sand or scrape the last part smooth.
