@bpower Yes the head should be tuned to a note believe it or not, usually a G for 5 string and if the bridge and strings are too high then there is too much pressure and the head won’t vibrate. All do...

@rocknroller912 I wasn't aware that, if they were set up correctly, that would help them sound better. 🙂

@tv101 My mission in life is to set all the banjos in the world up correctly so that they sound good and play in tune. Maybe people won’t hate them so much.
