So, my string gauges as recommended to me by D'Addarrio and Ernie Ball: Ernie Ball Recommendation: Strings:Heavy gauge - 20lbs tensionHigh G 0.014"Low G 0.030" WoundC 0.023" wound or 0.020" plainE 0.0...

That sounds about right. For my 16" I ended up with G .020 (now wound, but will try plain next string up) C .017 E .011 A .009
