Description
These are Birds Eye Maple (or sycamore) caps we found in amongst a collection of guitar builders wood that we bought with our other native cut caps, from a cabinet maker over 25 years ago !
It is a most unusual looking wood, probably most often seen in marquetry, old car dashboards and veneered furniture.
We did have a one piece, carved back jazz archtop in birds-eye on the bench some years back …but that’s rarer these days
Sometimes use for necks as it is a hard wood, but these caps are for electric bodies
Prices are for sanded and joined caps – but not filled or de-flawed !

Shallow Carve caps – to 15mm deep
Deeper Carve caps – 16mm plus
