hi gang!

I need to refret an acoustic guitar. therefore I need a fretting buck jig but I don't want to spend 200bucks on a stewmac one. does anyone have any plans for this so I can build my own??

Don't grow up! It's a trap!

@boo thanks I have seen this guy. It is a good idea and a simple build. I was wondering if there are printable plans or templates.

Hi @petersoyanov

Given that these upper frets are likely to be far less used than those lower down the fret board you might consider removing some of the tang set so that they don’t need so much ‘banging in’. I would have thought that looser fitting fret bonded with adhesive would probably be a perfectly acceptable alternative but I will leave it to Mark to offer the final opinion.

Regards

Darren
