is it possible to rout the neck pocket and rout the pickup cavity after?

Yes - but if it is a glued in neck you risk 'Breakout'. (As you route the pickup the router cutter will probably take a chunk out down the side of the neck - where you least need it!). This is because of the the grain direction and coz cavities overlap and - I hope I explain it better in the videos...make sure to watch the whole section through - let me know if that makes sense...ta
