Happy Monday to all

I'm watching the videos for a second time. This time so I can put together a cut sheet for jigs, templates, etc.

(actually does anyone have a cut sheet for all of that?)

For the neck angle jig, is there a particular height for the two perpendicular pieces (that the router would sit on)? Or does the geometry just "work". I'm a bit rusty on the rules of lines crossing two parallel lines 😂

Thanks

@kalimar I just used two short pieces of 2 by 4, which I made sure was sawn straight. The height on my jig is about 88mm. It could be a little lower, but that might depend on the height of the hinged bit and how deep your router can plunge.

Got it. Thanks for that

The specs for most of the jigs are given on the relevant lesson page either in “what you need” or in “dimensions”. I made the headstock angle jig to the dimensions given and reckon the angle to be about 9degrees (maybe a bit shallow) but I suspect that, looking at the video, Mark’s side rails were more than 70mm or he marked less than 67mm, his Mark is more than 3mm from the edge!!!

I might have to redo the side rails on my neck angle jig cos I don’t think I have enough plunge depth on my router. Just screw the side rails on, don’t glue and screw like Mark did on one video🤣🤣

I’ve attached a photo of my MDF sheet cut plan, hope you can read it and it’s helpful. I used a bandsaw to make the cuts (nice thin blade), if you use a table saw the kerf of the blade will be wider and that arrangement of cuts might not work. Happy sawing👍🤣🤣

OOPS, forgot to add the attachment🤣🤣 there it is now👍😃

@brie are the links you are referring to on this site? I'll have to go back and see if I can find them in udemy. I wasn't successful in my first try.

Thanks so much for those specs

If the links you mention are “Dimensions “ and “What you need”, they are not links but just headings found further down the page below the video pane in each lesson, or at least they are in the pages I’m viewing!! 🤣
Glad the specs were useful👍
