I wouldn’t call myself a Scot even though I’ve live here since I was at school. Still a posh cockney from West London at heart. In fact the longer I live here the less I like it. Thank goodness I’m close enough to the border to escape, well when the nippy sweetie let’s me.
@rocknroller912 Fair enough 😂🏴

Cheers @boo
Slowly but surely, thanks. I’ve been rather lazy these last days. Weird because for a while I was pulling my hair out and itching to go and now I’m pretty chill...
There are a lot of little things yet to be done and too boring to mention that need to be finished before I can open but I imagine it’ll be mid April...
How’s that tidy in your garage coming along, hmm? 😬🍻

Will do @mattbeels
LDL aids on hold until Mark is back, I’m sure he has better things on his mind at the moment.

@mattbeels Not bad actually, I’ve been clearing room for the buffing machine that @darrenking is sending me, it should be here tomorrow with a bit of luck. I do need a skip though, I have accumulated a lot of crap over the last 12 months.

@bonnywood - I'll just add my "welcome to the forum".
Always good to have another enthusiast join us. We all seem to have different ways of doing things re guitar building, different experiences, different knowledge to share. It's all part of what makes this such a rewarding community.

I have the LP plans and am going to make paper templates for peebee, so I can make a second set if you like. It’s a hard build I think.
@rocknroller912 - a LP shouldn't be too difficult.
There are a couple of things to consider;
- Routing all the channels - particularly to the p'up switch if it's going to be in the traditional LP position - before you add the cap on. Because you can't really do it afterwards!
- The cap carve. That's not so much difficult as tedious. I spent days (and days, and days), carving and sanding my last one.
- Getting the neck joint spot on - both the tenon and the angle - is a critical part of the build, but it's not too hard if you've done the measuring and got the jigs ready.
OK, that's 3 things rather than a couple, but none of them are too scary.

That's the influence of the soft furnishings @mattbeels.
Who wants to turn on noisy machinery and do some work when, instead, you could get comfortable on the soft furnishings, switch the coffee machine on, listen to some music, light some candles .......
