Watched some TV last night (I believe it used to be a popular form of entertainment).
@tv101 Yeah I love this song and the TV programme too. Itβs a new series and Iβm recording the whole lot before I binge watch every episode. No spoilers please TV. 😀

OK @Boo
But don't worry when they all get kidnapped in episode 1, and taken to the cell. Β Kidnappers failed in kidnapping 101 and didn't search the dog properly, so they all escaped using the sonic screwdriver to hack the combination lock.
Then, when the space/time continuum broke, and the daleks flooded through (again!), there was a special spell that no-one had used before, but it killed all the Time Lords (again!), but earth was saved.
The End.

who'd have thought she'd go on to be the brains behind Ed Sheeran's success.Β
I had no idea about that @Russ until I watched her introduce another of her songs in a different YT video in which she explains some of the background.
Until I watched that video, all I knew her for was her performance of Faith's Song - and that knowledge was really only prompted by my wife saying how much she liked that and so I looked up who'd performed it.
Most-times I'm happy to be mostly disconnected from the crap that is modern popular culture.Β Other-times I realise that I'm missing some quality new performances.

Hey @tv101. I find it hard to engage with most of the manufactured stuff but there are some good singer songwriters out there. Even when it's not to my taste I can still appreciate the talent. My youngest son is a Ed Sheeran fan and took me to see him a few years ago. It was surprisingly good. Most of the crowd were drunken middle aged woman with their daughters. At one point Ed had to stop to break up a fight between two of those mothers at the front of the crowd. You wouldn't get that at a Slayer gig. 😂🤣Β

My favorite song today:
fun fact: This is the first song Black Sabbath recorded, Tony Iommi was still using a stratocaster at the time but after they recorded this song in the studio one of the pickups went out. Tony Had his famous monkey sg as a backup guitar and recorded the rest of the album with his sg, he never looked back and continued using his sg. So long story short, this is the only black sabbath song that featured a strat. (yes i read Tony Iommi's biography 😆 )

@russ I find the human animal, in general, very embarrassing and disappointing in equal measures. I become more and more misanthropic every day.Β

I have to agree, @boo, that there are some a**eholes in this world but I have to say that I quite like the crazy wonderfulness of us all....... people watching is very fascinating. 😂Β Β

Don't want to derail this thread, but really strongly agree with @Boo on that observation.
What right did Ed f*ing Sheeran have to intervene and stop a fight between a couple of women in front of the whole crowd!Β I suppose they would have eclipsed his performance on stage, and he didn't fancy the competition?

Back on topic ...
I believe this is Rhino's very first solo songwriting credit and the first on which he took lead vocals on a Quo album.
Yes, I said Quo.Β But give it a listen.Β Riff-tastic, Smashy!
😉
Β
I'd have preferred to share a video of Rhino's Revenge doing it live, but none of the clips on YT are good enough to do it justice.

Here are two amazing Canadian singer/songwriters that I first heard performing on the (very sadly) late Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe radio program.
If you get a chance, try to track down Reid Jamieson's The Presley Sessions - discontinued but available on Soundcloud. Self-recorded in his kitchen, it formed the ultimate 'trying to impress a girl' tape. It must have worked as I believe they ended up getting married!
