My favourite song today is one i play with one of my bands. A couple of years ago we played at a local festival and a musician friend from another band told me they were going to play this song and asked me if we wouldn't play it please. I said we weren't going to. But to tease them, we played this song during the sound check. We saw their concerned faces. After the sound check I told them: just kidding, no we're not playing it tonight.

My favourite song today. A recording from 1985. Every now and then I played with this band on congas. The bassist of this band was the sound engineer of my regular band. The female singer was also a member of my own band.

@ Russ The importance of Paul McCartney as a bass player is huge. He was the first one who played very melodic instead of just playing the root notes of the chord.Β
