And then I did some buffing with the machine that @darrenking made. 

I also got this pink Strat sanded flat to 5000g, ready for buffing. This is how it looks at that stage, just before buffing. 

After spending an hour or so on the buffer @darrenking made, I got it looking pretty good I think. One tip I will give is that you need to stay away from the edges and keep the guitar moving constantly…   Read more»
