RE: Warping fretboard @markbailey @bpower Thank you! No need to panic then, since it is easy to press it flat. We have experienced cold and dry weather in Sweden for a few weeks, but the temperature may have fluctuated a b... |

RE: Warping fretboard If you can press it down flat easily by hand, then it will be fine. If not - might be a good idea to let it settle for a while - then level the gluing face. Warping is usually caused by rapid change... |

RE: Repair fret slot cutted in wrong position Posted by: @wolframmalukker Cut the fingerboard all the way through the misplaced slot, lay it on a sheet of wax paper, and glue the two halves together, then proceed as it were a single piece. I am... |

RE: Repair fret slot cutted in wrong position Posted by: @mario Do you recommend me a way to "recycle" the first fretboard. When something similar happened to me I used the damaged fretboard to repair the mistakes I made in the next one! ǹ... |

RE: Crack in my acoustic back material.... @bpower You may have seen me use this when I make those Barncaster guitars but the principle is the same for what you need. The Barncasters are intentionally left a little rough looking but I fill any... |

RE: Crack in my acoustic back material.... @darrenking Would that be an epoxy glue or (like @bpower is suggesting here) an epoxy resin? What is the difference? I know my dad used to use good old Araldite to fix a myriad of broken items. I see... |

RE: Crack in my acoustic back material.... @bpower The crack looks like it will split all the way along the board. I think the ends should have been sealed in wax to stop it from drying, so you might have some claim on the supplier. It’s very ... |
