I coat all my MDF templates with lacquer or sanding sealer. Prevents damage from double sided tape.

The worse thing about bass building being a guitar player is that you finish the build and come to find out you got no bass strings. The least and most important part to have in building.

@tv101 Yes the CnC is so cool. I use it now to make templates. Huge time saver and super accurate especially if you have the proper router bits which I really need. I just love the pleasure of cutting wood.

@koendb No, only use the frame saw for cutting bookmatching tops and bottoms. Primarily for acoustics but with several kerfing plane sizes that I built I now can cut from 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick on any body… Read more»
