Hi Simon, According to the interweb: Boiled linseed oil in thin coats dries in a few days and can be put into moderate service. Boiled linseed oil does in thicker applications does not fully cure or harden (dry all the way through)… Read more»

The Maccaferri necks that I have made all have zero frets. I would definitely recommend a slightly higher fret (one size up) for the zero but also remove most or all of the tang and either glue it in place… Read more»
