Slow polishing speed is needed in my opinion as it's easy to soften the finish by using a high speed. Also very easy to rub through. I'm not sure about Autosol as its for chrome which is a hard metal ...

You would have to ask Mark. I think it was a piece of mahogany stuck on the inside of the top/side and then planed out. Mark had pictures of the construction but I can’t find them on my iPad anymore.
