@robin just leave loads of winds on the pegs, that way you can reuse them if it doesn’t fix the problem. I don’t really worry about tuning stability at that stage, just saving the strings lol

@robin I think it would get worse with thicker strings, needing longer free length. Maybe a bridge with a little more adjustment range could fix it? If you have another A string, you could try that first. Sometimes (very rarely)… Read more»

@robin – completely agree with the other comments about the sunken bridge – it’s a “quality feature”, not a mis-measurement. I’ve seen it on proper branded guitars (decent, expensive brand, IIRC, I just can’t remember what it was!), so absolutely… Read more»

@robin yeh I did wonder, bit more room to play on a solid body. But, I think just rounding off the hard edges etc will look spot on.
