I was just wondering what you all use to sand your work. What sander and sand paper do you use? I’m not sure we have ever done any kind of comparison and rating of tools, materials and sundries before...

Though that failure might have been due to the extra clamping pressure, rather than the normal stresses that a finished body would have to withstand?
