RE: What can you get for a tenner?

Attachment : DB2CE612-9E44-427B-A6B7-496AEE6DE91A.jpeg Seriously disappointed. The body is plywood. For a tenner I would have expected two piece alder at the very least, and preferably mahogany. A...

The problem is not the images that disappear when you click on them , but the series like ‘click all traffic light tiles’ or similar ones for any type of object . They never work

@tv101 Yes, most of the time that is the case but on occasion (and for no reason) it kicks me out and I have to sign in again.

RE: Captcha issues on desktop browser

@boo If you've selected the "remember me" box, you shouldn't need to go through that process "every time" - that's the point of the "remember me" option - it should store your login creds on the mach...

@boo Accepted your request thanks. I wondered who it was and nearly declined as I’m getting bombarded with scammers at the moment.

RE: Fingerboard moved during glue-up - can it be rescued?

I agree with @Boo. Firstly because it'd mean more work for James, but secondly (and, TBH, the main reason) because you want to do the job right if possible, and this isn't too hard to fix. I'd remove ...

RE: Fingerboard moved during glue-up - can it be rescued?

If I could rescue the neck and get a replacement fingerboard that might be the way forward. If I don’t, I still have to clean up the fingerboard edge where it almost got stuck to the caul. But of cour...

RE: Fingerboard moved during glue-up - can it be rescued?

I would see how things line up as in can you still make the neck to the shape you intended. I haven't had much luck separating titebond glued things. Tend to cause more harm than good.

RE: Fingerboard moved during glue-up - can it be rescued?

I used Titebond Original. Thing is, technically, the only thing that’s going to be squint is the tuner holes. The neck hasn’t been profiled and the body hasn’t been built yet, so everything with the ...

@jamesbisset I know I’m a smart ass being wise after the event but I use water based glue for anything I might want to remove.

I asked GPTChat too: If you've glued your guitar fingerboard to the neck, and it's misaligned, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue: Remove the fingerboard: This is...

RE: Fingerboard moved during glue-up - can it be rescued?

I would be tempted to heat up the board and remove it, 1.5mm is a lot I think. You could redraw your centre line but it will throw the nut out as well and may cause a problem with the strings leaving ...

Fingerboard moved during glue-up - can it be rescued?

I glued and clamped the fingerboard to the neck yesterday. This morning, after taking the clamps and caul off, I find the fingerboard has twisted off axis by about 1.5mm. I reckon it happened like th...

Good to see another build underway. A nice warm-summer project (when you're not at the caravan!).
