@rkk108 I think that a higher resistor value would alter the cut off point and reduce the maximum frequency allowed though at full resistance value. Simply 1/2=0.5 and 1/4=0.25, so increasing the R value is reducing the amount of low… Read more»

@rkk108 No I haven’t tried that. Only stuck with wiring diagrams from books. Here is the formula for calculating how it would affect the frequency cut off or roll off point. Try putting in the different resistor values to see… Read more»

@rkk108 That would be useful. Guitar electronics can be confusing with so many different configurations. I’ve studied basic electronics but it doesn’t help much with guitar stuff. Having a multimeter does help.

Another happy customer, called in this afternoon to collect his new build. Playing through a small battery amp. Violin bow repair gone also so time to relax for the rest of the day.

Plane across the grain to take the thickness down to close to final, leaving about 0.5 mm depending on tear out.Sand or scrape the last part smooth.

T style neck after spraying, along with an S style. No polishing at all at this stage and after this I only hand rubbed it with polishing oil and Tripoli powder.

@jamesbisset It does have more of electric guitar sound than piezo. Did the original models use flat wound strings or round wound ? A different magnetic response might produce a softer sound to the pickups. Less amplitude. I have a set… Read more»
