I’ve been using a folding Black & Decker work bench for 39 years and have built several instruments and dozens of repairs. It works ok and I can move it outside to do sanding and routing jobs.

Thanks Darren I will check mine tomorrow but this sounds good. Drilling holes in mine shouldn’t be a problem. -

@clinton Its best to cut all the wood you want to use to near finished sizes and let it air dry to ensure the moisture content is even both sides. Cutting just before you use means that an outside face… Read more»

@jamesbissett Trying to cut a centre strip on a finished laminate would be very difficult. One of my early mistakes was trying this method on solid wood and the knife goes goes with the grain not when you want it… Read more»
