My town has a whisky distillery also opened a few years ago and it does tours. Cafe as well. -

@koendb Carved solid top is actually easier than an acoustic flat top because there’s no radius dish or thickness sanding involved. The gluing surface between the front/back and ribs is flat, which can be achieved with a small block plane…. Read more»

Looks like a guitar makers convention somewhere in Scotland, hopefully not too far in the future. My local pub does real ale and has a micro brewery in the cellar. -

Have to admit that I don’t do much power sanding these days after finding out what a mess it makes. I use mostly hand planes and scrapers. If I have to power sand I do it outside. -

@boo I agree with you on that as all this stuff does the same to bike paintwork so I don’t use any of it. Washing up liquid is about the strongest thing I use. Brake fluid is a great paint… Read more»
