RE: Greetings from Texas, USA

@somethingnicer Welcome to the forum! The conversion from slabs of wood to electric guitars was easier and more fun than I thought it would be. If any problems arise, just post a question about it.

RE: Robin's build #004

I've trimmed the back braces to length and notched the kerf lining and got the back fitting fairly good. I've dry clamped it with the 6 metres of rubber band that I've cut from an old inner tube, it's...

Dylan is a great songwriter, Hendrix was a great guitar player and this is a great cover.

RE: 🎶🎸 Your Favourite Song In This Moment 🎸🎶

One of the most iconic Dutch musicians was Heman Brood. A junky for most of his live and when he kicket the habit his body couldn't cope with that. At the age of 54 he took his own life by jumping fro...

RE: 🎶🎸 Your Favourite Song In This Moment 🎸🎶

My favourite song today is from a Dutch band again. The band only lasted a couple of years and had one small hit over here. Typical eighties sound, no guitars, no bass. But a ni=ce song nonetheless.

RE: Explorer (or maybe LP) with Floyd Rose

@steveh I usually go to p320 before applying finish. Before staining, I lightly moisture the surfaces and let it dry, to raise the grain. Then a light pass with p320 again before staining.

Sanded the kerfed edge of one side while the glue on the other side was drying. I found it far too flexible to hold it in shape out of the mold, so clamped it into the mold, so much easier. Attachm...

RE: Second build

Thanks @boo! Yes, it's somewhere between a lemon or a Tigers eye burst. My wife jokingly (I hope) called it a Bert burst, as in Bert and Ernie, but what starts as a joke ..

@liebe That’s a nice burst, very well done. It’s subtle but really effective, classy. 👏👏👏👏
