RE: 22nd fret of a fanned fretted neck is crooked/doesnt follow the pattern @koendb thank you for your reply, I gave it some thought beforehand but in the end, for what I'm investing into the guitar that being mainly the hardware, wood and time itself, I chose to go ahead and... |

RE: Tru-oil finish over stain The sanding sealer would help to prevent blotchy spots in the staining. It might be a good idea on the endgrain of a guitarbody and if applied correctly, gives you a more even result. But If you over... |

RE: 22nd fret of a fanned fretted neck is crooked/doesnt follow the pattern Welcome to the group @dav I've got no experience at all of fanned frets, but I'd agree that it certainly doesn't look right. I'm guessing that there must be some kind of formula to position the frets,... |

22nd fret of a fanned fretted neck is crooked/doesnt follow the pattern Hello, About a month ago I stupidly ordered a headless fan fretted neck off of *sigh* Aliexpress. After removing all the frets and rounding the fretboard itself, I started to notice that the 22nd fre... |

RE: How to Make a Thru Neck Electric Guitar Thanks NSJ, useful stuff. I guess once I've completed my first build the steps Mark provided above will make more sense. The bit I can't envisage yet is how to create the neck angle? Cheers Dan |
