That is definitely the face of an animal - horse-type.  I can see the pointed ears, eyes and nostrils.

As you posted that yesterday, I'm guessing the guitar is almost finished by now??

Well this has progressed, body cut out, pickups and control catvity routed, belly carve done and neck on it's way to being done. Tomorrow I'll be carving the top, mostly filing due to the knots lol

Got the carve done today and the recess for the controls, after a lot of sanding I wiped down with white spirit to have a look. Looks awesome!

The method Mark uses for carving the neck is so quick using mahogany, took me less than an hour to crave the neck, heel and do the volute. Got the frets in earlier before carving.

Frets all levelled, crowned and polished. Side markers done, everything sanded to 240 grit. Something went slightly off somewhere so the neck angle ended up a bit off so I made a shim that goes from about 1mm to nothing. Works great. Gives me about 14mm at the scale with a straight edge sitting on the frets and the gotoh tom is 13mm.

Also the fretboard is PAu Ferro, got it from Mark and Carol a while back but now finally using it. Took a pic outside too to show it's true colours.

Anyway, tomorrow is glue up time

And finished, the blue resin is perfect too, nice and subtle. Gotoh hardware, warman pickups, coil split with a 2.2k resistor to keep the split fatter sounding.
