Try taking a shaving off a bit of your body offcuts with a plane, adjust the depth of cut to get the thickness you want. Why have I never thought of that! Excellent tip @robin.

I've made so that the table is the same height as the workbench so that I can move it into the corner and have an extended table for cutting things *that* is forward planning! Nice thinking @robin.
