Plane down the edges of the veneer flush with the headstock and cut the edge of it straight against the front edge of the nut line. 🎶🙂🙏🎸

Next, I prepared the headstock veneer. Planed and scraped it smooth to a thickness of 2mm.

Once the glue has set the headstock can be planed flat to the 14mm thickness. 🙂🙏🎸🎶
