and the best way to restring the guitar?

Ever since I saw this, this is the way I string a guitar ...

The numbers just denote string thickness - (is it thousands of an inch diameter?).  12s are thicker than 11s than 10s ... etc.  As the number gets bigger, the strings get thicker, the sound gets thicker, and your fingers have to be thicker to fret and bend the strings.

Recently I think you mentioned shielding the control/pick up cavities with conductive paint. When I've tried this it was difficult to get a ground connection. Could you discuss this please and also the use of copper foil.

Some people call me a tool, others are less complimentary. Tools being useful things.

@rocknroller912 - Great idea - CHEERS!! FYI: I think I know where you went wrong...the stuff I use takes 3-4 coats to get a full shield...I always check for a 'beep' with the multi meter

Measure twice, cut once...

That silver stuff is very expensive and you only get a tiny amount - this is the what I use:

Hi Mark,

How about a session on the different scale lengths and what what would influence your decision on which one to choose.

Cheers,

Russ ???

Hey Mark,

Now that I've become Premium I'm running out of things to suggest in the Live Stream. I really am enjoying the Live Stuff and learning a lot from you......and loving the banter between you and Carol.......but your edited videos really are The Dog's Bollocks ?and The Bee's Knees?

Cheers,

Russ. ?✌️??

@markbailey I’m not sure whether you have covered this but I want to install pickups (humbuckers) into a body with no pickup rings (direct mounted). I know people use wood screws but I don’t like that idea. I have bought some brass flat bar so I can make something to mount them on.
