Hello Gang.

I am working on a very weird size bass guitar.

the fretboard and the top were the reason I started building this.

My problem is: 5 string bases have 70mm+ string spread. I need mine to have 60mm because of the size of the fretboard

I cannot find anything that fits these sizes in the standard bridge producers. Any ideas?

@petersoyanov Could you not use individual string bridges like these?

@boo, the individual ones are 15.5/16 mm wide

I need something that is under 13mm wide

Schaller 2000 5 string bass bridge. It is discontinued if you can get a hold of it.  Love thes bridges. Be wary however intonation and string height setting on it is limiting. I think that is why it is discontinued but it is like individual sadles that is affixed on a plate.

That sounds like a cool and unique build! With a 60mm string spread on a 5-string, you’re definitely in custom territory. You might have luck with an adjustable individual saddle bridge setup, or you could modify a standard bridge by repositioning the saddles. Some custom builders (Hipshot, ABM, or even local machine shops) might be able to help with a custom bridge too.
