@russ Cheers mate. I can check in here more often now, I’ve been 8 weeks here without any internet. I was getting a bit sick of having to get on the car and drive about 3 miles before I could pick up a 4G signal. We are on a beautiful Scottish hillside, in a real coms blackout spot but satellite broadband has solved everything. 👍

Good to hear that you're sorted now @Boo.

Madly, we're <1km from OpenReach's fibre network, but they wanted £17k (+VAT, naturally) to run fibre to our place, so we existed on a 3mbps copper BT line and/or a dodgy-ish 4G antenna.  

Starlink now give me a stable ~250mbps with no noticeable lag.  For a lot less than £17k.

Anyways ... back on topic, this track's turn came up on my random playlist in the workshop this afternoon.  I had to stop and repeat it a couple of times, so it's my track for today

@tv101 That is insane. 😱 I can’t believe they wanted that much to route 1 mile of fibre for you, ridiculous. 

Glad you got satellite though, those speeds sound amazing. I went with a different firm to you but I’ll give it 12 month, to the end of the contract, and maybe look at starlink. Those speeds sound out of this world.
