I think that you can't go wrong with the Dan Erlewine books but I think the book of wiring diagrams is essential reading.......but as Mark says, read everything you can.

(I was referring to the 3rd edition of Melvyn H’s book).

My go-to in the early days was Donald Brosnac’s book on guitar electronics.

I‘m also on that list. Apparently Melvyn had received the proofs (or whatever it’s called, final draft?) and was reviewing them shortly before he passed. I’m guessing that, for obvious reasons, there will be a bit more delay but I’m confident that book will see the light of day. His family no doubt realizes that it’s part of his legacy.

Hi @tv101. Don't think it's on sale yet. Last mention was in February saying it was coming soon but as we know the sad news of his death was announced. I would imagine his family have much more think about.

Not quite @boo. Got most of the hand tools that I need now. Need to get a bandsaw. I did have access to one at a local college but Covid put an end to that. A friend has offered me a space to work in but it needs clearing out or I have to organise my wee shed. Need to get my kit from Mark & Carol. I'm aiming for May.

@frocesterbill Yeah, I noticed that too. I agree, I don’t think they are real. 

@boo @frocesterbill. I think the first book might be genuine as it has the authors name on the cover but the second could be a fake. I'm sure I've heard Mark say that people have asked him to do a book but declined.
