Hidden Tenon, neck through, Spalted Maple Top
@clinton Be careful when sanding with a radius block. Itβs easy to sand more off one side than the other or even sand a twist into the fretboard. In your head, you are sanding everything straight and evenly but your body motion can put unwantedness in the fretboard, causing problems with the frets etc later on down the line. Ask me how I know! 😬Β
I noticed it at the nut end and the bottom end of the fretboard, one side was thinner than the other, meaning I had sanded more off one side than the other. To fix this, I ended up using a levelling beam to get the whole board flat again before sanding the radius again and I was left with a thinner fretboard.Β
I now use a levelling beam to get the radius and then a radius beam only for the finer sandpaper to finish off with.Β
Donβt tell Mark you are using superglue and masking tape. 🤣Β
I just use double sided tape. 🤘😁🤘🎸Β
Keep up the good work Clinton. 👍
