She is a Beast!

I’m blown away Clinton, I really am. Everything about it is truly stunning. I would love to make one of those for a friend of mine, I may ask you for some advice if that is ok.

Did you change the size of the body as it is a bass? I know it’s a Bandsman body.

Make guitars, not war 🌍✌️🎸

@Boo No change in the body at all. For the Bandsman shape 32 inch scale lenght is maximum.

@tv1 Thanks. Must admit, this bass build is pretty solid, sounds amazng. Changing the neck pickup however to a Wilkinson humbucker, waiting for the part to arrive. The poles for this epiphone humbucker do not line up with the strings. Makes a difference especially with bass. I thought it would not. Lessons learned. Gotta route a new cavity and make a pickup cover for it to hide the old screw holes. Major modification but can be done.

@clinton Wow, it looks awesome! I’m wondering if there’s any neck dive especially since it’s semi-hollow? The body looks nice and chunky, how thick did you make it?

Practice on scrap...

Not really, Koa is relatively light but hard. It is a 2 inch body.

Update modification. Recessed the Mudbucker and changed the bridge pickup to Wilkinson humbucker and changed tuning pegs to Wolkinson gears. Solid! Loving this bass. Shipping it off to my happy and excited niece. Will miss this guitar.

Yes, an incredible feeling of purpose. Sharing your builds of functional art. My nieces are so happy and messaged me that their guitars have turned heads of interest. Especially the bandsman.

Your work has made 2 people incredibly happy, and given them something that they'll treasure for years, forever ...

Being able to make a stunning guitar is a great ability.

Being able to bring that sort of happiness to people is an even greater ability.
