Started another bass guitar, friends kid bought the last one so I need another, obviously lol
Brazillian mahogany with yew and resin top. Neck is maple with brazillian mahogany up the centre and some form of rosewood board.
This time to deal with levelling the resin I knocked up a router sled, it's brilliant! What a time saver. I did the body, back of neck, heel and back of headstock with it so far.
Got the fret markers in, frets and side dots. Only then did I realise I'd put markers on the 25th fret instead of the 24th lol. I knew something was off when I was doing it too.
Anyway I got on and fixed it. After plugging the holes it's still a bit noticeable but that's what having a laser is for lol
Got the neck pocket sorted, managede to rout a small angle in it too so I can keep the fretboard lower while still having enough height at the bridge. Also shaped the body at the pocket. Going to knock a couple of mm off the back with the router sled. Hopefully tuners arrive tomorrow and I can get the headstock and volute sorted.
Bit more progress, bridge fitted, pickup and control cavities done, headstock done and control cavity cover.
Smoothed off the sharp edges and started the finishing
