Friends son asked me about building a nice, simple, 5 string bass, tele shaped with all the arm and belly carves and batman logo at the 12th etc. I somehow made my life difficult by suggesting staining green, binding, carve top and on it went lol. Now we have the riddler

 

Anyway, brazillian mahogany body with ash top, brazilian mahogany and maple neck, ebony board, set neck and so on.

@nsj Great work as usual Neil. 

I must build a bass soon. My last customer was very happy with his Tele guitar, he’ll want a bass to go with it (he is a bass player after all). 

I love the green colour and your woodworking is on point and beyond as usual.

@liebe friend had really old massive slabs of it, sold me one. Also sawed it up for me with his massive machinery so I could get the maximum use.

@nsj Luckily, he would hate a 5 string bass so I think I’m safe. 😆

However, I better not tell him I don’t want to build a 5 string, otherwise he might ask me to make him one just to annoy me. 😆
