Can your really showcase something that is incomplete? Probably not but, as I seem to be a rather slow builder, I display my progress for no other reason than I promised Mark I would.  

I don't have spraying facilities so opted for gunstock oil over a stain. This is my first attempt at achieving any sort of serious finish. The result exceeded my expectations. One day I might even finish the build....  

For those of you with a keen eye, please ignore the dodgy routing on the neck pocket. Too greedy 😦

@markbailey Definitely one of yours although at the time of purchase the species identity was a little indeterminate - if you say sycamore I believe you. ! just liked the way it looked. Thought I had blown it with the stain as it looked so flat - came alive with the application of oil. The beauty is in the wood rather than my skill TBH.
