About 5 years ago I made a guitar with a spalted maple top. I love spalted maple!

Another guitar with swamp ash body, wenge fretboard, Seymour Duncan humbuckers and Grover tuners.

I'm quite liking the shape of these @marcel.

I'm guessing it's your own design, rather than a copy of an established model?

Yes, it's my own design based on the last two basses (which I designed) I made in the Bailey workshop.

Ahhh - that makes sense - the elongated top horn is very "bass-y"!

Interesting to see a design that works for both bass and guitar though.

I spent many hours with pencil and paper (and an eraser!) figuring out the shape of my bass. And many years later when I had started building guitars and basses at home it didn't take me too long to design the guitar.

Great design

Those Warwick basses must have been designed by someone like Ray Charles, José Feliciano or Stevie Wonder. And apart from the unattractive body shape the Warwick headstocks in my humble opinion look really horrible.

But they sound great although I never played one myself.

I had one to change a broken truss rod...not doing that again.

Nearly sh#t myself trying to get the fretboard off with an iron and a scraper....thankfully it turned out ok and it did sound awesome. Design ?

I took a fretboard off with the bandsaw @david-johnson09.

Remarkably little damage!

Well, for a £3.5k bass, you'd obviously put a new blade on first.
