No problem @mattbeels - I love Germanyland...they make awesome amps.
I have too many guitars...said no one in the world..ever!
Right, I managed to get my 1k and my 10k resistors sorted out.
Seriously, to the naked eye under workshop lighting, they both looked pretty much the same. It was only under my indoor desk lamp, and through a magnifying glass, that I could tell them apart!
All components (apart from the pots and wiring to the sockets & power) fitted;
Looks like they're all present and correct.
I'll tidy up the leg bends so they all fit nice and nearly in their positions when I put them in.
Doing this test fit also helps me work out the order for soldering them in place, ie so that I don't make that job any more fiddly than it already is.

Nice ! Building pedals is so much fun too! I have quite a lot of self built pedals, both from kits as complete scratch builds. And when you start understanding the different stages within an effect, it is quite easy to develop your own takes on exiting ideas.

You should tell us more @koendb
🙂
This is my first pedal build. I was going to do it a few months ago, but life got too busy! I thought it might take me a while to get it all sorted ...

since it’s from ‘81 it’s rather old and outdated. Like you lot. Suck iiiiiiiiiit!!!!
@mattbeels 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍
Make guitars, not war 🌍✌️🎸
Nice one.
I'm probably a bit late to this, but solder the resistors first then Caps and diodes. It's easier in that order.
I've got a Big Muff to mess around with (stop sniggering at the back!!!) that I got from FuzzDog, and a load of Merlin's designs to make ( http://www.valvewizard.co.uk).
Now, if only the kids could go back to school and I can enjoy my "between contracts" time as I used to do...
Stay safe.
HOW OLD AM I??? (See: Joined...)
Signed: (legit grumpy) OLD bloke... 😛

Cheers @rashdown_online - I was thinking along the same lines, just so that I can get all the resistors nice and close to the top of the board.
I can enjoy my "between contracts" time
Co-incidentally, that's where I'm at too. Though I'm wondering whether I'll just stay in "between contracts" mode, and not bother with any more. They took up too much time ...

I reside in “GermanyLand”, ahem.
Serious question @mattbeels - your English is *very* good, including the use of more "casual" phrases. Have you spent time living over here?

So how come your English is so good then @mattbeels?
I've been over to Germanyland a few times, and whilst most people seem to speak English, it's nowhere near your level of familiarity with the language.

@tv101 It’s not that good, he is American 🤣
Apologies to any Americans here, this is a light hearted joke. Matt can take a joke. (I think 😳)

Well I was hoping to play this out a bit for a little fun but mr @boo just had to butt in and spoil it, thanks jerky! 😆😘
So, I'm still confused.
If you're American, why do you type with a German accent??
