If the links you mention are “Dimensions “ and “What you need”, they are not links but just headings found further down the page below the video pane in each lesson, or at least they are in the pages I’m… Read more»

@swepri Of course, why didn’t I think of that, I do generally tend to make things more complicated than I need to, one of the consequences of overthinking things!!🤣🤣
Thanks for the confirmation sweeping, much appreciated 👍😃🎸 -

I don’t have any experience of fan fretted guitars and would bow to the greater knowledge of anyone that does. Would I be right in thinking that each string would have it’s own scale length and that could be determined… Read more»

Brian Walker replied to the topic "Neck angle jig specs" – 2 years, 2 months ago
The specs for most of the jigs are given on the relevant lesson page either in “what you need” or in “dimensions”. I made the headstock angle jig to the dimensions given and reckon the angle to be about 9degrees… Read more»

@chrishamilton Hi again Chris, Was just thinking about your electrics problems, the most likely culprits are probably the volume and tone pots and the pickup selector switch. Try cleaning these with contact cleaner spray, it might just get some life… Read more»

Brian Walker replied to the topic "Making patterns" – 2 years, 4 months ago
@swepri That’s an approach I’ve used often, usually before clearing out with a chisel e.g. in cutting a mortise. Would definitely reduce the amount of material to be routed out.👍😃

Thanks Rocknroller, that pretty much confirms my thinking on router bits. Of course I’ll be doing practice cuts on scrap wood first to assess the results. Just goes to show there’s always more than one way to skin a cat!!… Read more»

Hi, thanks for the info, I didn’t mean that I would attempt a full depth cut staring from my pre drilled hole, just each 3mm or so incremental depth cut and gently easing the bit into the material. Yes, some… Read more»

P.S. I’m only jealous I don’t have a CNC👍🤣🤣 -
